Leaked gameplay footage of Crash Team Rumble was recently shared on Twitter. Developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision, the game is set for release in 2023 and is the third installment in the party genre of the Crash Bandicoot series.
The gameplay of Crash Team Rumble is a team-based four-versus-four multiplayer online battle arena where players take on the roles of various characters from the Crash Bandicoot franchise, including Crash, Cortex, Coco, Dingodile, Brio, and Tawna. The objective of the game is to collect and deposit more Wumpa Fruit than the opposing team while also defending the opponent’s drop-off zone to prevent them from depositing their supply. Each character has unique skills and abilities to aid in the battles against the opposing team.

The marketing and release of Crash Team Rumble started with Activision delivering a package to influencers in October 2022 to announce the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for Steam. The package also teased the announcement of a new Crash Bandicoot title on December 8 at The Game Awards 2022, where Crash Team Rumble was officially unveiled via a debut trailer.
The game is set to be released in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and will feature cross-platform play.
