Hi-Fi Rush for the Nintendo Switch has received a PEGI 12 rating in anticipation of its release. This is even though the game hasn’t been officially announced yet.
Developed by ZeniMax Europe Limited/Bethesda Softworks Europe, the game was rated on April 30, 2024, and offers a unique blend of rock music and action-packed gameplay. In Hi-Fi Rush, players take on the role of a wannabe rockstar and his allies as they fight against a mega technology corporation.
The PEGI 12 rating reflects the game’s content, which includes moderate violence and infrequent use of bad language. Players can expect cinematic scenes featuring sequences of moderate violence, including characters being hit, kicked, and shoved, though without graphic blood or injuries. Boss battles may depict unrealistic reactions and characters flashing when hit, adding to the intensity of the gameplay experience.
Additionally, players may encounter infrequent use of bad language, with words such as “shit,” “pissed,” and “asshole” featured in the game’s dialogue. While the game’s content is deemed suitable for players aged 12 and above, it may not be suitable for younger audiences due to its moderate violence and use of bad language.
Microsoft or Bethesda hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of a Nintendo Switch version, but this is not the first instance of the game getting rated for the Nintendo Switch. Despite the rating, there is no official announcement of this port.
The game was originally released exclusively for Xbox Series S|X and PC. It was followed by a port for the PS5. It was rumored at that point that the game might launch on the Nintendo Switch, and while Microsoft did release Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush was never confirmed for the Nintendo Switch.
