Nintendo NX was the codename for the Nintendo Switch prototype. We have our first look at its boot animation that leaked with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Prototype.
The alleged prototype was found in a Nintendo Switch devkit. Interestingly, it had a bootup animation with the codename Nintendo NX. Here’s a look at this bootup animation.
The Nintendo Switches Codename was the NX and this was an early Logo / Boot Up animation used during development of the Console ( It was found in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Prototype ) This was never seen outside Nintendo pic.twitter.com/B1bS5zCKOu

In addition to the bootup animation, there is a gameplay video out showing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe prototype. There appears to have been placeholder characters and tracks in the prototype that was published online, but these likely won’t be a part of the booster pack.
Seems like a prototype of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has leaked online with a build date of 2016/10/18 09:37:23 with debug features enabled.
Do note that the characters shown WILL NOT be part of the Booster Course Pass, and are likely just placeholders.

This is not the first time a game has leaked in this format. Previously, devkits that were sold by a studio or through auctions had some rare or unfinished games in them.
Nintendo NX was the codename for the Nintendo Switch before it was officially revealed to the public. Nintendo has yet to share the codename or information on its successor for the Nintendo Switch however rumors suggest that it might be an upgrade in the same vein as the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, instead of a brand new hardware.
