The next chapter in the Samus Aran saga is Metroid Dread. It introduces new enemies, gameplay, and other changes. Nintendo is promoting the game alongside the release of a new Nintendo Switch OLED model. It will be available on October 8th.

Metroid Dread is the franchise’s first new game in almost a decade. Nintendo did work on several remakes, but they never followed up on the story beyond Metroid Fusion. The sole new entry from a third-party developer was Metroid Other M for the Nintendo Wii, which was a colossal flop.
