WB Discovery will be de-listing all Adult Swim Games published titles from both the PlayStation Store and Steam, as per details shared by a developer.
Owen Deery, the developer behind Small Radios Big Televisions, took to Twitter/X to share that WB Discovery has informed him that it will be “retiring” his game from both the PlayStation Store and Steam storefronts. In response, he has made the PC version available for free (download here).
As for when the plug will be pulled on his game, the developer mentioned that Small Radios Big Televisions will be de-listed from the PlayStation Store and Steam “within the next few weeks”. Those who wish to purchase it or any of the other Adult Swim Games published titles from either digital storefront should do so as early as possible. Those who purchase them should continue to have access after they have been de-listed.
Deery mentioned that he will continue to receive any royalties from sales of Small Radios Big Televisions until it disappears from both the PlayStation Store and Steam, so those who would like to support him out to act fast.
According to the developer, Warner Bros Discovery cited “business changes” as the reason behind the removal of his game and other Adult Swim Games published titles from digital storefronts. As for what these changes are is anyone’s guess. WB Discovery has yet to make a public statement in this regard.
For the uninitiated, Small Radios Big Televisions is an indie puzzle video game developed by Fire Face and released on November 8, 2016, for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. Owen Deery, operating under the developer name Fire Face, created all aspects of the game, including artwork, music, and a custom game engine. Originally, the game began as a free web-based prototype using WebGL and JavaScript. Due to interest in the prototype, Owen decided to develop it further into a full-fledged game.
