Details regarding the next entry in Ubisoft’s online action role-playing game series, Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, have allegedly been leaked.
YouTuber Manco Army, who mainly creates content related to The Division series, has claimed that to have spoken with a developer who had been working on the Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 prior to losing their job a few months ago during the recent layoffs at Ubisoft. The developer provided several details regarding the game to the YouTuber, which they have shared in their latest video.
The content creators shared that the next entry in The Division series will be called Tom Clancy’s The Division 3: Chicago. As the name implies, the third installment will take players to the city of Chicago. It will be completely independent of the previous entries, although it will contain some nods and references to previous titles. The city will be divided into zones, as was the case in prior entries, and each area will initially be controlled by one of the game’s six factions.
Throughout the game, players will encounter main missions and secondary objectives, unlocking different and unique bespoke game modes as their character’s reputation increases. For the first time in the franchise, players will have the freedom to choose which faction to join, offering a unique narrative path for each one. Out of the existing factions, players will be able to choose three to join: the Faction of The Division, the Forsaken faction of the Abyss, and the Warriors faction of Renaissance.
According to the YouTuber, players will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the world of the faction they choose in Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, by experiencing its history and faction-specific missions. Furthermore, they will be able to explore the motivations and backgrounds of each faction, adding an additional layer of depth to the game narrative. The narrative will involve making major decisions, as players shape their own path in the fight for control of Chicago.
