Fans of Bayonetta 3 have been waiting for an update on the game’s development for a long time, but the latest news may disappoint them.
Platinum Games has finally provided an update on the game’s progress. Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the series, continues to troll fans on Twitter, but even he is unable to announce when the game will be released. He addressed this in a statement provided to VGC.
It was more of a not definitely ‘something will come out this year’, but if there is a year, then something should happen, right?
If you remember last time, I said that even though everyone was asking about Bayonetta 3, maybe you should tell everyone to forget about it for a while. I kind of need to keep to that stance for now because ultimately, it’s not our decision what to say and when to say it.
Platinum Games’ studio chief, Atsushi Inaba, encouraged supporters not to be concerned.
There’s no need to worry. Don’t worry about it at this time. Everything’s OK.
On the other hand, Bayonetta’s English voice actor appears to indicate that she may not feature in the sequel. In response to a fan’s tweet pleading for her return, she hinted that she will not return to voice the role.
