According to a rumour, the Nintendo Switch Online will receive a new membership tier in addition to N64 Games as part of the subscription service.
This comes from NateDrake, who has previously been a dependable leaker of all things Nintendo. While NateDrake has had a few leaks go wrong, he has a steady track record. In a recent podcast, he indicates that Nintendo Switch Online will undergo a change.
Eurogamer went one step further, having noted that additional platforms will also be added to Nintendo Switch Online in the future. And today I would like to add to that, yes – that information is accurate and one of the platforms that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online in the future is the revolutionary Nintendo 64.
NateDrake mainly discusses the new additions in hypothetical terms, implying that Nintendo may be prepared to raise the price of the Nintendo Switch online from the current $19.99 per year to a bit over $24.99 to $29.99 per year. Again, this was given as speculation, therefore it should not be considered as truth.
In Europe, Nintendo has recently reduced the price of the Nintendo Switch. They confirmed that this will not be conducted in the United States. Regardless, there is a rumour that a new Nintendo Direct will be released later this month, so possibly an announcement like this will take place during it.
