The Super Mario Bros. Movie is out in April 2023. There is already an official trailer for the movie, and now we have an idea of its length as well.
According to the website Cinepolis, the movie will have a total playtime of 85 minutes. This is similar to animated features like Disney’s Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. It might appear shorter next to the modern animated movies, but overall, this is pretty decent.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a CGI animated film from Illumination in collaboration with Nintendo. The film’s ensemble voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Seth Rogen.
While Nintendo has always been reluctant to bring its IPs to the big screen since the failure of the original Super Mario Bros. live-action film, they have finally allowed it to happen again but with an animated movie this time. This all happens back in January 2018 when Nintendo announced a new Mario film collaboration with Illumination and Universal. A teaser trailer for the film was presented during a Nintendo Direct event on October 6, 2022.
Universal Pictures plans to distribute The Super Mario Bros. Movie in Belgium on March 22, 2023. It will be accessible for viewing on Peacock 45 days later. The film will be released in the United States on April 6, followed by the United Kingdom and Japan.
